Facing Cap Canaille, in the Anse de Corton, La Villa Madie lives to the rhythm of one of the most distinctive vineyards in France. First planted by the Phocaeans as early as the 6th century BC, the Cassis vineyard is one of the six very first appellations d'origine contrôlée, recognised by the decree of 15 May 1936. Today, around ten family estates cultivate some 215 hectares between sea and cliffs, within the Calanques National Park. White wines account for nearly 80% of production. Their minerality and salinity, shaped by the sea spray and the Mediterranean sun, make them natural companions to our cuisine. This is why the wines of Cassis hold a place of honour on our wine list: in the glass, they carry forward what we strive to express on the plate — the taste of this land.

A NIGHT TO CELEBRATE 90 YEARS OF THE CASSIS AOC

On 15 May 2026, the anniversary of the decree, we celebrated the appellation's 90th anniversary at La Villa Madie. The evening brought together winegrowers and guests to pay tribute to all those who, for ninety years, have kept this exceptional vineyard alive.
